Written Critique-
1. How can understanding the elements and principles of photography add to your work as an artist?
Understanding the elements and principles of photography can help me to have a better understanding of lighting in product photography. For example, understanding that fill light helps reduce contrast will allow me to change the brightness and position of lighting in order to achieve this goal.
2. What did you learn or refine from this assignment?
I learned how the different types of lighting set up affects the product of an image. ie. back, key, diffusion, fill.
3. How can this assignment be improved in the future?
The only thing that I would want to change would be changing the background color. I think if I were to use a soft yellow color for the candle or a white background for the shoes, the affect I was wanting would be increased.
